Is the glass half full or half empty? Disap- pointing setbacks have got you in a rut.
This downfall is regressing you back to painful memories where expectations fell short. Bitter and broken, you are filled with resentment over what has happened to you, taking the loss personally. It’s okay to give yourself a moment to feel bad, but it is your decision how long you wallow in it. Forgive the people who have hurt you in the past—including yourself—for believing that they have the power to hurt you. Instead of thinking how much this sucks, reflect back on the lessons you learned. It may take some time for the sting to go away, so let yourself heal through this process. You’ll come out of it a much wiser human than when you started.
